Dr. Kemp is a Registered Psychology Associate in Maryland. She earned both her Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) and Master of Arts (M.A.) degrees in Clinical Psychology from Stevenson University. She completed her predoctoral internship at Waypoint Wellness Center, where she focused on treating internalizing disorders in children and adolescents.

Dr. Kemp previously completed clinical training in a variety of other settings, including Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital, GIFTS Mental Health Clinic, and Howard County Public School System. Each of these placements expanded her skills in providing individual therapy, school-based therapy, and psychological assessments. Dr. Kemp has experience working with concerns including anxiety, depression, ADHD, Autism, emotion regulation, grief, and life adjustments. She enjoys assisting children and adolescents with developing social skills and executive functioning skills, as well as helping them navigate family, social, or school-related stressors.

Dr. Kemp strives to create a safe, supportive space where kids and teens feel comfortable expressing themselves, exploring their emotions, and developing effective coping strategies. Her approach emphasizes building strong therapeutic relationships, fostering collaboration with families, and utilizing strengths-based, trauma-informed, and evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral strategies, mindfulness, and play when appropriate.
