Job Description

Substance use work at Serenity is not siloed from the rest of our clinical mission. Our clients dealing with addiction are often the same veterans, immigrant families, and underserved community members who come to us for everything else. We want a substance use counselor who sees the whole person, not just the presenting issue.

What you will do

  • Provide individual and group substance abuse counseling
  • Facilitate DUI education classes and court-ordered evaluations
  • Conduct substance abuse assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Coordinate with the broader clinical team when dual-diagnosis care is needed

What we are looking for

  • Active CADC or LAC certification/licensure in Maryland. DC and VA preferred.
  • Experience with group therapy and individual counseling in substance use treatment
  • Ability to conduct and document DUI evaluations preferred
  • Bilingual candidates strongly encouraged

Schedule

Flexible Schedule: Monday to Friday and weekends
(based on your avaliabilitiy)
